Scott Pasternak joined UCSF in 2011 as an Assistant Patient Care Manager. His focus is on preoperative and postoperative care at Mt. Zion hospital. Scott is passionate about improving patient, staff, and faculty experiences through process improvement, situational leadership, and planned organizational behavior change. Prior to coming to UCSF, Scott spent 15 years in a variety of roles including CardioVascular ICU nursing, critical care education, and intensive care unit management. Scott obtained his MBA in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University in 2010 and BSN from Case Western Reserve University where he was a recipient of the prestigious Cushing-Robb Prize. Scott also has a Master of Divinity from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
